No homework.  Do some thinking/planning and talk to your parents about your course selections for grade 11.

We did some practice/study for the test by preparing a 1 page study sheet or working on the practice test on p. 16-17 of package.
Homework:

Prepare for test on Wed (period B)  or Thursday (period G)

CHANGE OF PLANS FOR MON. JAN 20:
Regular Day 1 classes.
We will do a Review period for Refraction in class and I will be giving extra help then.
I will be available in my office (105) if you want extra help on Monday or Tuesday (Jan 20, 21) after school.

 Notice to period G class:
The assembly on Thurs Jan 23 does NOT affect the afternoon schedule.  The test will go ahead for Thursday.  
If there is no school on Tuesday, Jan 21, then work on the practice test at home to prepare for Thursday's test.

We took up the TIR Textbook question(p. 531) and did a lesson on Refraction Effects (p. 13-15).

B: Tues Jan 14/  G:  Wed Jan 15 :
We took up the TIR Applications notes (p. 11-12) and then did a lab on critical angle.

B: Fri Jan 10/  G:  Mon Jan 13 :
We wrote the calculations quiz.  Then we did a reading/worksheet using the textbook on Applications of Total Internal Reflection  (notes package p. 11-12), including textbook Q p. 531 #1-5, 8, 9

Complete TIR applications worksheet (p. 11-12) and textbook p. 531 #1-5,  #8, #9

B: Wed Jan 8/  G:  Tues Jan 9 :
Snell's Law labs were collected.  We had a lesson on total internal reflection (p.  9-10).  Then we did critical angle problems #1-5 on p. 11
Homework:
Finish critical angle problems #1-5 and
do review of c=n/V and na sinΘa = nb sin Θb and bring a calculator for quiz next class (Friday Jan 10)

B: Mon Jan 6/  G:  Tues Jan 7 :
We completed the note on p. 4 on Relationships between variables.  Then we completed the Snell's Law lab in class.  Labs are due next class.
Homework:
Complete Snell's law labs. Lab is due at the beginning of  next class.
Review for Quiz on Refraction Calculations (n=C/V and snell's law) coming up
(period B quiz is Friday Jan 10, period G quiz is Monday Jan 13)

G:  Fri Dec 20:
No lesson today.  This will be an extra help session for any students that would like extra help on any topic in this unit.

We took up the Snell's Law Calculations and started collecting data for the Snell's Law Lab.  We will continue this lab in the new year.
