Stoichiometry Test

homework:  Review solutions terms on  p. 1 of notes

Mon Mar 9:

We started the Solutions unit with p. 1 of the new notes package.  Then we weighed our precipitate and wrote the lab quiz.
homework: Prepare for the Stoichiometry test by writing the practice test on this site.

Thurs Mar 6: No school

Tues Mar 3:
We did the Limiting Reactants lab, stored our precipitate and recorded our data.  The % yield and % purity homework was taken up.
homework: Make sure you know how to do the lab quiz calculations:  determining LR, reactant in excess, how much product is formed, how much other reactant is leftover,  % purity or % yield.

Fri Feb 28:
We covered %yield and % purity.  (p.7-8)
homework: Do recommended questions listed on p. 9 on % yield and % purity.

Wed Feb 26:
We briefly reviewed limiting reactant problems.  Then we did a lab and wrote the lab quiz in class
homework: Do LR practice p. 6  Q #23, 24,  25  , 28,  and 30 

Mon Feb 24:
We took up the stoichiometry homework on p. 4 and had a lesson on Limiting Reactants (p. 4-5)
homework: Be ready for Stoichiometry lab quiz on Wed Feb 26 which covers stoichiometry problems involving moles, mass or particles.  (This lab quiz does NOT include limiting reactants).

• Do LR practice p. 6  Q #23, 24,  25  , 28, 29 and 30 

Thurs Feb 20:
We did the Hydrates experiment lab quiz and had a lesson on mass-to-mass stoichiometry (p.  3-4).
homework: 
Be ready for Hydrates lab quiz on Thursday
Do Q #12, 14, 17 and 20 on the bottom of p. 4 of the notes package

Tues Feb 18:
% composition and moles test were passed back.  We did the Hydrates experiment.  Students submitted the lab sheet but were able to take a picture of their lab sheet.
New package on Stoichiometry was started with a lesson on p. 1-2
